Receipts
Your receipt
What counts as your receipt
Your order confirmation PDF is your fiscal receipt. We do not use a separate till slip for online orders; the PDF we send you is the official receipt, and it carries our fiscal receipt approval number, EXO 4029.
Source: Value Added Tax Act (Cap. 406), art. 51 and the Thirteenth Schedule, item 1: a document counts as a fiscal receipt where it is issued in a manner approved by the Malta Tax and Customs Administration, with the approval number shown on it.
When you get it
Malta's tax law says your fiscal receipt has to reach you immediately after you pay, not when your order is packed, and not when it is delivered.
- Card or Revolut Pay: issued at checkout, the moment you pay.
- Cash on delivery: issued at the door, from our system, the moment you hand over the cash. We do not use a handwritten paper receipt book; your receipt is generated by the same system as every other order.
- Cryptocurrency: issued once we have checked your payment has arrived. It shows the euro amount you were quoted, with the cryptocurrency as the method of payment.

If you are buying for a VAT-registered business
Add your VAT number at checkout and we will issue you a tax invoice instead of an ordinary receipt, so you can reclaim the VAT. You buy through the same checkout, at the same prices, as everyone else; adding a VAT number does not put you on a separate trade account, it only changes which document you get.

Our VAT registration
We are registered for VAT under article 10 of the VAT Act: the standard registration, where VAT is charged and can be reclaimed. Every price shown on the site includes VAT at 18%.

Keeping your receipt
You never have to ask us for a receipt; we always issue one. Maltese tax law asks you to keep it for 24 hours in case a tax officer asks to see it.
