The Redmi 17 5G pairs a 7500 mAh battery with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip and 5G. Xiaomi rates the battery for two days of use and up to 109 hours of music, and it charges at up to 45 W, reaching 51% in 40 minutes and full in 96 minutes with a 45 W adapter (Xiaomi does not put an adapter in the box). The USB-C port also charges earbuds or another phone at 22.5 W.
The 6.9-inch screen runs at up to 120 Hz behind Gorilla Glass 7i, and the phone is rated IP64 with a Wet Touch mode for rain. It has 4 GB of RAM and 128GB of faster UFS 2.2 storage, expandable by microSD to 2 TB through the hybrid SIM tray. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3, and Xiaomi promises a like-new software experience for 48 months.
