Three Cameras in One - The Most Compatible Hasselblad Ever Built
The 907X & CFV 100C is not a single camera - it is a modular system that operates as three fundamentally different photographic tools. Configuration one: mount XCD lenses directly to the 907X body for a compact, modern mirrorless medium format shooting experience. Configuration two: detach the CFV 100C digital back and mount it to virtually any Hasselblad V System camera body from 1957 onwards, including the 500 series and 200 series, breathing 100-megapixel digital life into beloved film hardware. Configuration three: connect the CFV 100C to a studio setup via USB-C for tethered capture with full Phocus software integration. No other Hasselblad camera spans this range of creative and technical possibilities.
100-Megapixel BSI CMOS Sensor with Phase Detection Autofocus
The CFV 100C houses the same 100-megapixel back-side illuminated CMOS sensor as Hasselblad's flagship cameras: 11,656 x 8,742 pixels across a 43.8 x 32.9mm imaging area, with a pixel size of 3.76 μm. This is approximately 70% larger than a full-frame sensor, capturing more light per pixel and producing images with extraordinary dynamic range, tonal depth, and fine detail. 294 PDAF zones provide fast, accurate single autofocus with face detection across the sensor surface - a major advancement over the previous 50-megapixel CFV II 50C.
15 Stops of Dynamic Range and 16-Bit Colour
With 15 stops of dynamic range and 16-bit colour depth representing approximately 281 trillion colours, the CFV 100C captures the full tonal range of any scene from the deepest shadows to the brightest highlights in extraordinary detail. Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) colour management optimises colours to appear as naturally as the eye perceives them, maintaining the accuracy and authenticity that defines every Hasselblad image. The 3FR RAW format can be set to 14-bit for faster burst shooting or 16-bit for maximum colour and dynamic range.
Built-In 1TB SSD - The First Modular Camera with Integrated Storage
The CFV 100C is the first modular digital back in history to include built-in storage. The 1TB SSD provides approximately 990GB of usable space, storing up to approximately 4,700 RAW files without any memory card. For extended shooting, an additional CFexpress Type B card slot supports up to 512GB of supplementary storage. The high-speed SSD enables continuous shooting at up to 3.3fps in 14-bit RAW mode.
Classic Waist-Level Design - 620g Total Weight
The 907X camera body is inspired directly by the design language of Hasselblad's legendary film cameras, pairing a slimline machined aluminium body with the CFV 100C's eco-leather cover and chrome edges. The total combination weighs just 620g - 120g lighter than the previous 907X & CFV II 50C - making it the lightest 100-megapixel medium format camera system on the market. The 3.2-inch tilt touchscreen echoes the waist-level viewfinder of Hasselblad's heritage cameras: flip it to 40° for a low-angle perspective, or to 90° to fully revive the classic top-down composition style.
V System Compatibility - Digital Life for Film Bodies from 1957
The CFV 100C digital back is compatible with virtually all Hasselblad V System camera bodies manufactured from 1957 onwards, including the entire 500 series and 200 series (SWC excluded). This means photographers who own or acquire vintage Hasselblad film bodies can use the CFV 100C to produce 100-megapixel digital images with those classic lenses and that distinctive modular form factor. When used with V System cameras, the CFV 100C supports manual focus only.
XCD, HC/HCD, V System, and XPan Lenses
When used with the 907X body, the CFV 100C supports the complete range of XCD lenses for autofocus shooting with built-in leaf shutters. Via the XH Lens Adapter, HC/HCD lenses are also supported. The XV Lens Adapter adds V System lenses, and the XPan Lens Adapter opens up the XPan range. The lens equivalent focal length multiplier when adapting full-frame lenses is 0.78x.
Phocus Mobile 2 and Phocus for Mac/PC
Connect wirelessly to iPhone or iPad via built-in Wi-Fi to transfer full-size RAW and JPEG images directly to Phocus Mobile 2, where HNCS colour processing, editing, and output can be performed on the go. Phocus for Mac and PC provides full tethered shooting capability, professional RAW processing, and access to the complete HNCS colour pipeline in the studio. RAW files from the CFV 100C are also natively supported in Capture One, with tethered capture support coming later in 2026.
Flash and Studio Integration
The CFV 100C features a hot shoe, flash sync input, flash sync output, and ELX output for complete studio flash integration. In TTL mode, Nikon SB-series flashes, Profoto A10/A1, and Profoto TTL triggers are all supported. Flash synchronisation is available at all shutter speeds with the mechanical shutter.
